കാർമുകിൽ വർണൻ എന്നാലും എന്റെ കൃഷ്ണാ എല്ലാവരും തന്നെ നീലത്തിൽ മുക്കി കളഞ്ഞല്ലോ അല്ല കുറ്റം പറയാൻ പറ്റില്ല ഈ നാട് ഒരിക്കലും കറുപ്പിനെ സ്നേഹിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. പണ്ട് ആരൊക്കെയോ ചേർന്ന് നിർമ്മിച്ച ജാതി പട്ടികയിൽ കറുപ്പന്റെ സ്ഥാനം താഴെ ആയിരുന്നു, അതങ്ങനെ തലമുറ കൈമാറി കൈമാറി ഇപ്പോഴും നിലനിൽക്കുന്നു. കറുത്തവന് എന്നും ഒരു ജാതിയെ കൽപിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളു. എങ്ങാനും സ്വന്തം കുഞ്ഞ്  കറുതത്തായാല്ലോ പിന്നെ അങ്ങോട്ട് വെളുപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമങ്ങൾ അല്ലേ. ഇത്ര അധികം സൗന്ദര്യ വർദ്ധന വസ്തുകൾ എങ്ങനാ വിപണിയിൽ എത്തിയത് കറുപ്പൻ വെള്ളുക്കാൻ നോക്കുന്നോണ്ട് അല്ലെ. ഇൗ ഭൂപരകൃതിയും ഇവിടുത്തെ ഭക്ഷണവും മനസ്സിലാകാതെ എന്ത് ചെയ്തിട്ട് എന്തിനാ.  ഭാവി തലമുറ എങ്കിലും കറുപ്പിനെ പുച്ഛത്തോടെ കാണലെ കൃഷ്ണാ എന്ന് പ്രാർത്ഥനയെ ഒള്ളു അപ്പോഴേക്കും നീ നീലത്തിൽ നിന്നും കറുപ്പിലെയ്ക് തിരികെ വരുമോ?

മഴയോട് സങ്കടം പറഞ്ഞ് ഇരിക്കാൻ എന്ത് രസമാണ് പക്ഷേ അവയുടെ സങ്കടം ഒരിക്കൽ പോലും കേൾക്കാൻ നിന്ന് കൊടുത്തിട്ടില്ല. ഒരിക്കൽ ഞാൻ ഇങ്ങനെ പടിയിൽ ഇരുന്ന പഴതോകെ ഓർത്തിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. സ്കൂളിൽ പഠിക്കുമ്പോളാണ് ആദ്യമായി മഴ നനഞ്ഞു വന്നതിനു തല് കിട്ടുന്നത് അന്ന് ഞാൻ വൈകുവോളം മഴയോട് സങ്കടം പറഞ്ഞ് കരഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട് നീ കാരണം കിട്ടിയ അടിയുടെ കണക്ക് പറഞ്ഞ്. അതിനു ശേഷം കോളജിൽ പഠിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ എന്നെ ഇട്ടിച്ച് പോയപ്പോഴും ഞാൻ മഴയോട് തന്നെ പരിഭവം പറഞ്ഞു അന്ന് മഴ നല്ല നല്ല ഓർമ്മകൾ അവയുടെ വിരഹം ഒക്കെ എന്നോട് പറയാതെ പറഞ്ഞു. പിന്നീട് ഞാൻ മഴ നനയുനത് ഏട്ടന്റെ കുടെ വിവാഹം കഴിഞ്ഞ് ഫോട്ടോ എടുക്കാൻ നേരം ആയിരുന്നു എന്നെ മുമ്പ് കരയിച്ച മഴ ഇപ്പോ കുടുകുടെ ചിരിപ്പിക്കുന്നു പ്രണയത്തിൻ്റെ ചുംബനവും സ്പർശനവും അതെനിക്ക് സമ്മാനിച്ചു.. വീട് വെച്ചപ്പോൾ ഏട്ടന്റെ നിർബന്ധമായിരുന്നു തറഓട്‌ ഇടണമെന്നത് ഞാൻ എതിർ ഒന്നും പറഞ്ഞില്ല പുല്ല് അത്രേം കുറഞ്ഞ് ഇരികും മുറ്റം അടുക്കാന്നും എള്ളുപ്പം വർഷം കടന്നു പോയി ഇന്ന് അതെ മഴ തന്നേ സർവതും തിരികെ കൊണ്ട് പോയി. വീടും ഏട്ടനും പിള്ളേരും എല്ലാം. ജീവൻ മാത്രം ഇങ്ങനെ നിർത്തുന്നത് എന്തിനാ എന്നേം കൊണ്ട് പോകാൻ മ
